A Team of Passionate Experts

The Axxon Composites factory brings together a diversity of complementary trades, all essential for designing and manufacturing high-quality carbon masts.

Design Office Engineers conceive and optimize each mast to meet the specific needs of every client.
Composite Technicians handle lamination, draping (autoclave curing), assembly, installation, sanding, painting, and the outfitting of the masts.
Project Managers ensure project follow-up and coordinate the teams, maintaining constant communication with clients.

The Legacy of Marius Tolbas

Marius Tolbas, co-founder and factory director, passed away suddenly in 2025, leaving a profound mark on the history of Axxon Composites.

A man of listening and kindness, he embodied both high standards and passion, guiding his teams with professionalism, courage, and empathy. With extensive experience in composites, particularly in the nautical sector, he always shared his knowledge with humility and generosity. More than a director, Marius was a true leader, carrying human values and inspiring energy. Today, his legacy lives on through our know-how, our rigor, and the strong relationships he built within Axxon Composites.

« I started my career as a sailmaker back in 1985, when shoulder pads were fashionable and GPS was still science fiction.
Over the years, I’ve worked my way through the marine industry, serving as Production Manager at Elvstrøm Sails, Andresen Stone, and Nordic Mast.
For the past 25 years, I’ve focused on sales of masts and sailing equipment, helping sailors go faster, safer, and occasionally convincing them that they really do need that extra piece of gear.
Most importantly, I’ve been actively racing sailboats for more than 50 years—which means I’ve spent a lifetime chasing wind shifts, collecting stories, and proving that there is always time for « just one more race.»
