In a few words
Founded in 2010, Axxon Composites is the result of a partnership between three experts : Eric Duchemin, a carbon mast specialist with over 30 years of experience and a background in the America’s Cup; Philippe Boclet, a composite industry expert with in-depth knowledge of Romania, and Marius Tolbas, Operations Director. Thanks to their complementary skills, the company quickly established itself as a global leader in the manufacture of carbon masts for yachts ranging from 30 to 100 feet.
In 2011, Axxon entered the racing yacht market by equipping its first Class40.
In 2014, Axxon obtained a DNV certification, ensuring the quality and reliability of its products.
In 2015, Axxon delivered its first mast over 30 metres, marking its entry into the luxury yachting market.
In 2017, Axxon invested in a new manufacturing facility with workshops dedicated to each stage of production. A major milestone was reached with the addition of a new autoclave and a 50-metre-long paint booth.
In 2023, Axxon Composites joined the Wichard Group, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of marine hardware. Alongside Lorima, a global leader in carbon masts for large yachts and offshore racing, Axxon Composites perfectly complements the Wichard Group’s expertise. This strategic alliance strengthens the group’s presence across all market segments and showcases European composite expertise.
